USB-CAN1-1-0.6-DSUB

The converter can be used to get fast and easy access to JVL Servomotor module MAC00-FC4 and Servostep motors with CANopen or J1939 facilities. With its compact plastic casing, the USB-to-CAN converter is ideally suited for use with laptops and notebooks when a system should be set up or for service purposes. Software and in-house programming sources are supplied on CD to make the package complete. The converter includes optocoupler and built-in DC/DC converters that provide electrical isolation to a maximum of 500 V between the PC and the CAN network.

If the converter is used together with JVL program CANopenExplorer it is possible within a few minutes to get a working CANopen servo or stepper motor system. CANopenExplorer can write and send SDOs, PDOs, SYNC and heartbeat messages and finally it can read EDS files. The program is not supplied on the CD but can be donwloaded free. See DOWNLOAD below. The cable CAN1-M12F5SO5R with DSUB and M12 connectors can be used to connect the converter to a motor with M12 connector. See here pdf of how to make the cable yourself.
