Selection of Power Supply for MAC800

Mains supply:
Supply voltage range is from 115-240VAC. We recommend to use 230VAC but 115VAC is also possible if a solder jumper is fitted on the PCB. See manual for further information about 115VAC. The torque and speed range is the same for 115 and 230VAC. A DC voltage can

also be supplied in the area 162VDC to 338VDC. Notice that if the 115VAC solder jumper is not made and 115VAC is supplied the internal bus voltage will be half the rated voltage of about 325VDC and thereby limit the maximum speed and dynamic response.

Dimensioning power supply and fuse:
The power supply and prefuse must be dimensioned
according to motor size and voltage supplied.
See table below.

MAC800 with fan MAC800 with large heat sink
Desired voltage Torque RMS/Peak Supply rating Pre-fuse size# Torque RMS/Peak Supply rating Pre-fuse size#
115VAC 2.38/6.8 Nm 2160W T20A 1.6/4.8 Nm 1440W T20A
230VAC 2.38/6.8 Nm 2160W T10A 1.6/4.8 Nm 1440w T10A
# Please see manual for correct type and UL recommendation.

Logic supply:
We recommend to use a standard 24VDC power supply with max +-10% tolerance. Because we use switch mode technology most of our modules and motors work in the area 18 to 28VDC and some up to 48VDC.

Please see datasheet for the specific motor and module.
See here for JVL recommended power supply.
