JVL motor with high IP protection IP65,66 and 67 use special shaft sealing that don’t need lubrication and have very low friction. Most sealings have also a stainless steel spring that secure constant pressure on the shaft to avoid dust or water intrusion. JVL do normally use single lip seal sealings but can for extreme application like IP69K use special sealing with double lip sealings
Notice that sealing is a one-time mounting sealing and should not be removed or reused. If motor is disassembled should new sealing be mounted. Ask JVL for spare part and mounting instruction
Optional can a FDA approved sealing be used. Only difference between our standard sealing and FDA sealing is the O-ring that isn’t FDA approved.
